The security of our members and our hall and equipment is of paramount importance to us, as such we have a number of security systems in place.
Boundary fences and gates
These provide a secure perimeter and allow us to keep our trailers and vehicles secure. Gates are to be kept locked while the hall is untended.
Doors
There are several entrances to the hall. The main door, back door and venturer room each have a combination security lock. These must be kept closed and locked while the are/ hall is not in use. Combinations should be changed form time to time
The Q-store has a combination lock and should be kept closed and locked.
Windows
All windows in the hall, kitchen leaders room and Venturer room should be closed and locked when the hall is not being used and curtains on the windows in the main hall should be left open
Security Alarm system
The alarm system has sensors on most doors and windows and motion / thermal sensors in the hall area, q-store and Venturer room. The alarm system should be activated when the hall is NOT in use. Alarm codes are available to leader and other regular users. There is a visitors code, Leaders code and Group leader code. These should be changed from time to time. The alarm system has a siren and flashing light and sms message system to alert us to security events.
Security Video system
The hall has cameras inside the hall and on several places out side. These are monitored 24 / 7 and data stored for several weeks. Security vision is only accessible on the authority of the group leader.
Trailers / Vehicles
There are several trailers stored it the hall car park area or near the Q-store These must have at least ONE trailer lock on the hitch or a wheel. Some trailers may have two locks. Trailer's are also fitted with tracking devises.
Please reach out to our Group Leader if you have any concerns re our security systems.
